The Cooperstown Food Pantry, which serves all of Otsego County, NY, is looking for our next Executive Director. We have supported our community for 49 years and seek someone with non-profit management experience who enjoys working with people, is well-organized, energetic and shares our passion for caring for our neighbors. We are innovative, working in collaboration with our local hospital, school, stores and other service groups to target special needs.
Responsibilities include the overall financial and administrative aspects of the organization, advising on and executing budget, grant writing, fundraising, and the supervision of paid and volunteer staff. The Executive Director works closely with a full time Director of Operations and the Pantry’s Board of Directors to facilitate the growth and forward movement of the organization, and is responsible for implementing Board mission and visioning strategy.
A member of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, Cooperstown Food Pantry
works in collaboration with other local, state and federal entities to address issues of hunger
and poverty. CFP sources, sorts, stores and distributes food to those in need.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with
- organizational skills,
- familiarity with Microsoft Office software
- database management experience; experience with CRM database a plus
- clear communication and engagement skills: comfort with public speaking and
- community relationship building.

- 1 – 3 years of experience in food pantry management or a related field
- a degree in nonprofit management, business administration or a related field
This is a full-time position; salary range $65,000 – $80,000 and health benefits.
