Cooperstown Food Pantry, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Otsego County, will host “Community of Giving,” a live gathering celebrating Otsego County’s participation in Mohawk Valley Gives Day.
The event will take place Friday, September 18, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Templeton Hall, 63 Pioneer
Street, Cooperstown. Cooperstown Food Pantry gratefully acknowledges Lucy Townsend of LM
Townsend Catering for generously donating the use of Templeton Hall for this community event.
Participating nonprofit organizations are invited to join Cooperstown Food Pantry in welcoming
donors and community members for an evening of local philanthropy. Cooperstown Food Pantry
will share information about its programs and community partnerships, and Otsego County
nonprofits participating in Mohawk Valley Gives Day are welcome to bring materials and staff
members to showcase their missions.
Guests are invited to stop by after work—or anytime between 5 and 9 p.m.—to meet local
nonprofit representatives, enjoy live music, purchase wine or beer from the cash bar, and make
a donation in person or online. Staff, board members, and volunteers from Cooperstown Food
Pantry and other participating organizations will be on hand throughout the evening.
Local leaders and community members will also stop in to show their support. Updates from the
fundraiser will be shared online throughout the event as Cooperstown Food Pantry and
nonprofit organizations across Otsego County work toward their Mohawk Valley Gives Day
fundraising goals.
Community members are encouraged to attend, connect with local organizations, and help
make a difference for Otsego County.
