The Cooperstown Food Pantry is a
501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.

The Food is Medicine Program, a partnership between the Cooperstown Food Pantry and Bassett Healthcare Network, provides food-insecure cancer patients with free food tailored to their diet. Each month, cancer patient can receive a free box full of food. The program serves about 190 patients a year.

Thank you to Spectrum News for covering this important program, which has grown significantly over the past two years. Food Pantry Executive Director Will Kleffner said that many in the community don’t realize that some people are battling cancer and food insecurity at the same time. Once people find out, they want to help. The Pantry could use more volunteers as well as funding for this essential program. Call 607/547-8902 to find out how you can help.
